I don't think I can adequately express what an amazing time I had this week. As far as surfing goes I've definately caught the bug.I couldn't have asked for better teachers or a more ideal place to learn how to surf!

When you take three work colleagues, two who had surfed thirty odd years ago and one who has never surfed and travel from one end of the island to the other for a week at Isobar there is always a chance that something may go wrong. Add in a new face, Terry from Auckland who we had never met and the stage is set. The outcome, however was nothing short of brilliant. Amazing food including marinated snapper, steaks the size of buffalo buttocks, cheeses, in fact if you can think of it we most probably ate it. Superb company including our new man Terry and our hosts Tim and Milena. Nothing was an effort and we got to experience some good surf.

“I knew we were on to a good thing when we walked in the door of the Isobar Surf School and Tim was making a hand made loaf of bread. The hospitality of Tim and Melena was absolutely fantastic and I enjoyed every aspect of our 5 day surf package (apart from my colleagues snoring!). The food was wonderful (including fresh fish caught off the beach), the company friendly and relaxed, and the surfing sic (can an old guy say that?). I have no hesitation in recommending the Isobar Surf School to anyone who enjoys great surfing, great food and great company in a beautiful part of New Zealand. I am already looking forward to going back next year.”
