Isobar Surf Location
Isobar Surf is Northland's premier surf destination. With a fantastic location, professional coaches, excellent accommodation and food, surfing with Isobar will be an unforgettable
experience!
The Isobar Surf lodge is located in Taupo Bay . Which is in the Far North on the East Coast of New Zealand. The Far North is also called "the winterless North" and the water temperatures will be the warmest in New Zealand.
Taupo Bay is a real kiwi holiday place so you don’t meet too many tourists other than like minded surfers. It can be busy over christmas and easter but most of the time it is quiet and relaxed. The sandy beach is 900m long and is sheltered by cliffs either side that promote mainly clean offshore surf conditions. Generally having four peaks, Taupo Bay is one of Northland's finest East Coast surf beaches. In the rare event that the conditions are not suitable a drive to the West Coast isn't far either.
The Lodge
The lodge itself is set back one street from the beach, is very clean, comfortable and spacious. We offer a personal service which really means you get to live a little 'the kiwi way'. The accommodation consists of a five bed dormitory with 1 double and 1 twin room. Great food is supplied with all packages over two hours.
